I have a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup that I have finally decided to sell so I am seeing if anyone in the Black Hills area is interested. This was my first "car" that I ever owned. I bought it as a bone stock pickup with about 70k miles on it and slowly built it up over the years. I spent many hours maintaining it - it was my pride and joy for a lot of years and I can't think of a better place for it than the Black Hills, or better people to take it over and keep it in the rocks!

Anyway please take a look and let me know if you have any questions. I took the blue book value of the truck and added ~62.5% of the cost of the modifications that have been performed on it.

The Listing

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport w/ 1-ton Axles

I have owned this truck since it was bone stock in 2002. As a mechanical engineer I have performed all of the work myself -
modifications and fabrication work. It has been to Moab, UT and all over Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.

It has been very well taken care of - I have always kept up with fluid changes. It starts and runs very well. The only issues are that it has a slight detonation under high RPM, high load conditions. It seems to go away if you run 91 or higher octane. Also, the truck tends to pull left slightly when driving down the road which I believe to be a sticky brake caliper but have not taken the time to solve the problem. There is also a crack in the dashboard and the factory speakers have some issues - they work intermittently.

I hate to see it go but it is time as I do not seem to make time to use it anymore. It is an extremely capable truck and works well as a rockcrawler, family adventure vehicle, or for hunting and other outdoor pursuits.
